Congratulations to Enna Swackhamer!

From day one, Enna embodied the spirit of her own essay: “measure twice, cut once.” She didn’t rush, she researched thoughtfully, explored what actually excited her (turns out, two things!), and made her decision with clarity and confidence. Come fall, she’ll be heading to Colorado State to dive into their construction management and interior design programs.

Enna put it beautifully: “I love the atmosphere and all the opportunities there! I’m looking forward to meeting new people and making memories.” That’s exactly the kind of clarity and excitement you want to hear when a student has found their place.

What really struck me was watching Enna trust herself, even when the noise around her said otherwise. And her parents? They were right there with her every step, not steering, but supporting. They shared something with me that I think captures it perfectly:

“The experience exposed us to schools we never would’ve found on our own. But more than that, it turned the college search from a source of stress into something we actually enjoyed together. Enna listened to herself instead of folding under pressure, and watching her navigate it all with such clarity made us proud.”

Enna, thank you for letting me be part of your journey, even through a lot of change, and all the decisions that come with it. Watching you get excited about construction and design and imagining your future? That’s the good stuff.

And to Enna’s parents: the trust you placed in this process meant everything.

Congratulations, Swackhamers!
