Congratulations to Meredith Gentry!

Meredith, from Des Moines, Iowa, is headed to the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where she will study Business.

Meredith’s college journey is a powerful example of growth, reflection, and finding clarity. Throughout her search, she approached each step with thoughtfulness and patience—taking the time to truly understand what she wanted in her college experience. One of the most meaningful parts of her process was her willingness to reimagine her path. After years of competitive running, Meredith made the intentional decision to focus on her academic future without collegiate athletics—a shift that allowed her to move forward with confidence and a renewed sense of purpose.

Her parents shared how proud they are of the way Meredith embraced the process—remaining open, engaged, and reflective while steadily building toward a decision that felt right for her. As they described, this journey wasn’t just about choosing a college—it was about discovering what kind of experience Meredith wanted for her next chapter.

That clarity led her to Wisconsin, where everything clicked. Meredith fell in love with the campus, the lakeside setting, and the vibrant energy of a true college town. She was especially drawn to how seamlessly the university and city are connected—creating an environment full of opportunity, community, and excitement.

Looking ahead, Meredith is excited to fully immerse herself in campus life—rushing in the fall, experiencing game days, and building new friendships. She is ready to embrace everything Madison has to offer.

Meredith, your thoughtful approach and willingness to grow made this process incredibly successful. We are so excited to see all that you accomplish at Wisconsin!

Go Badgers!
